During the MC era, starting in the 1950s, wood veneer become very popular in furniture-making, quite prevalent in office furniture. It was widely employed as a protectant. With the dawn of mass production, veneers became a full-scale home and furniture industry in the US. This item is unrestored to maintain vintage integrity.
